Come to the second General PTA Meeting of the year and stay for a rockin' performance by our fantastic fifth graders!

OCTOBER 23, SCHOOL DAY | KARI LAVELLE AUTHOR VISIT

The library is excited to welcome author Kari Lavelle to Northwood! She will be visiting with our students during the school day on October 23. If you are interested in purchasing signed books, click here.  

OCTOBER 23, 5:30-7:00 PM | FAMILY LITERARY PUMPKIN NIGHT

Join us in the Northwood Cafeteria on October 23 from 5:30-7:00 to decorate a pumpkin for our Literary Pumpkin Patch! Pizza, pumpkins, and art supplies will be provided. Start thinking about which storybook character will inspire your pumpkin this year! Thank you to HEB for generously donating the pumpkins for this event. 

OCTOBER 27-31, SCHOOL DAY | Literary pumpkin patch

Bring in a decorated pumpkin inspired by a book character to display in the library at our Literary Pumpkin Patch. Please do not puncture or cut the pumpkin (they start to smell!). Be sure to visit the library to see the amazing display! 

PTA Art education

Did you know that PTA runs the art education program at Northwood? We rely on volunteers to assist our art teachers with the lessons. You do not need to be an artist to help out! Volunteering with the art program is a great way to help in the classroom and bring art education to our students. Volunteers must have completed a background check through NEISD. Email volunteer@northwoodpta.org if you'd like to volunteer.
